Course Description
The Provide CPR course focuses on providing the participants with the knowledge and skills necessary to maintain breathing and circulation in an adult, child or infant following cardiac arrest, until medical assistance arrives.

Course Outline
The Provide CPR course content contains but is not limited to the following components.
- Chain of survival
- Assessing the situation
- Signs of life
- Performing CPR
- Demonstrating the use of an automated external defibrillator
- Care of an unconscious person
- Special techniques for children and infants
- CPR in special circumstances
- Infection control
- Reporting procedures
Assessment
The Provide CPR course is assessed using practical and theory based assessments.
Safety Systems Pty Ltd recommends completing CPR training every year, in accordance with the Australian Resuscitation Council.

Pre-reading and assessment to be completed prior class.
FAQs
What do I need to do before attending training?
After a booking has been finalised, an email containing confirmation details and pre-assessment tasks will be sent to you. This pre-learning will need to be completed prior to your scheduled training date and a copy needs to be provided to our team as part of your assessment.
What is the minimum age to complete CPR Training?
To complete CPR training at Safety Systems, the participants must be at least 15 years of age. If under the age of 18, we will require a permission form to be signed by a parent or guardian.
How long is the CPR course?
To complete the HLTAID009 CPR training will take approximately 3 hours of face-to-face learning. There is also pre-learning to be completed by each student prior to the training date. This information will be sent along with the confirmation email.
Do CPR certifications expire?
While there is no mandated expiry, the Australian Resuscitation Council recommends CPR training be refreshed annually.
